Thala rocks in Asal. Finally Ajith’s Asal has hit the theatres today, 5th feb. The story has come good and it is a treat for his fans. The story is a little bit like the English Godfather movie. With two heroines in the form of Bhavana and Sameera Reddy, director Saran has did his part. The movie starts with actor Ajith, who is an underworld don. Ajith has passion for Guantanamera cigars. The real action, drama and suspense begins when Ajith’s entire gang mysteriously killed. All of sudden, second Ajith appears on silver screen, who tries to solve the mystery behind mass killing. You can guess, this Ajith is police or intelligence officer or something else. To solve this mystery, you have to visit nearby theaters or multiplex. The camerawork keeps the viewer visually pleased, partially compensating for flaws in the script. Action should have been better. Only the fight between Ajith and Kelly close to the interval stirs up excitement, it is plain on all other occasions.The only strong negative character (Kelly Dorji) is finished off prematurely which also stunts the growth of Ajith’s character.(Read more)

Ajith's Asal has been released today, 5th Feb. It has come good. It may be recalled that the former Union Minister Anbumani Ramdoss appealed to the producer of Asal, Sivaji Productions, director Saran and actor Ajith Kumar to delete scenes that show the lead star smoking cigar. Anbumani, who also heads the Pasumai Thayagam, said that such scenes will have adverse impact on the youth and children and threatened a demonstration. Reacting to this, Prabhu, on behalf of Sivaji Productions, Saran and Ajith, has issued a statement in which it is said that Asal has been censored and all the guidelines that the Censor Board recommended has been followed strictly. A movie made only for comedy. All the tamil heroes are targetted for comedy. This movie is a spoof on commercial mass movies that follow the same formula. Hero will fall in love with a rich girl, however she is out of reach of him and definitely gets her and then fights with her father who is a damn politician for the sake of his ethics. Well as per the story, plot and acting , both deserves a rating of 3 star. Every cliché and formula that makes mass movies has been lampooned in a funny manner that tickles the funny bone. Our hero Shiva (Mirchi Shiva) is born on a rainy day in a village and the new born speaks to his grandmother (Parvai Muniamma) that his dream is to go to Chennai to become a man for all seasons like a typical Tamil film hero. In Chennai, the boy pedals on a cycle and as years pass become a larger than life hero who takes on the scum of the earth and turns into the “friendly neighbourhood guy who gets things done.”

Like all Tamil heroes he goes to college and hangs around with his friends Nakul (MS Bhaskar), Siddharth (Manobala) and Bharath (Venniradai Moorthy) a dig at Tamil cinemas ageing comedians who pretend to be students. Shiva falls in love with a classmate (Disha Pandey), and does everything a regular Tamil hero does to win the heroine in films like Kadhalukku Mariyathai, Mouna Ragam, Mozhi etc. When the heroine’s father says he will not allow his daughter to marry a poor man with no job, Shiva works overtime and becomes a tycoon overnight just like what Rajinikanth did in Annamalai, Padyappa, Sivajietc, etc. Meanwhile it is revealed that he is an undercover cop who wants to exterminate the criminals in the city. Shiva’s method of eliminating the criminals are far better than what Vijay did in Tirupachi and Pokkiri, Suriya inGhajini and Khakka Khakka, Vikram in Anniyan and Kamal Hassan in Apoorva Sahodrakal. Even more hilarious is how Shiva goes back to his village in search of his father who abandoned him many years back. And the climax is when he discovers who runs the ‘D’ company is hilarious.

On the downside, it gets predictable post interval though the film is only 2 hours and 5 minutes. Pot shots have been taken liberally at Rajinikanth and Vijay while some other superstars have been spared.
Some of the most stupid moments but thoroughly enjoyable are Shiva’s classical dance piece to impress his girl friend, and rip off of many fight scenes (mainly from Vijay films), court scene and the judge in the climax, and popular dialogues of Kamal and Vijaykanth. The director and dialogue writer CS Amudhan’s laughs are spot on, punctuated by the scripts outrageous glossary of over-the-top depiction of Tamil film stereotypes. Nirav Shah’s camera and Kannan’s music mainly the song O Maha Zeeya..

YOGI MOVIE REVIEW

Ameer is a slum-dweller who graduates from petty crimes to murder for better revenues. During one of his assignments, he makes way with a car and inadvertently bestowed with the ownership of a child. The child’s mother gets hurt in an accident after the car stealing and the reluctant Ameer is left with the custody of the toddler. It takes no time for him to abandon the kid in one of the street corners, but he holds himself back and brings the kid home for he had never forgiven himself for the loss of a life in a similar manner earlier in his life.
Ameer gets into the skin of a petty goon who gradually becomes a criminal, accidentally owning a baby. The razor sharp dialogues in his coarse voice accentuate his performance and the way he carries a repulsive past with him can be quite depressing for the viewer. His father character, played by journalist Devarajan, is impeccable. He metes out domestic violence at his wife, unapologetic about the death of his little daughter and uses his wife’s dead body to make money. Quite disconcerting and it doesn’t feel that Devarajan is a newcomer.

Another revelation in the movie is (actually there are two, another being Snehan who effortlessly portrays a mean thug) Madhumitha, playing the role of a single mother whose husband walks out on her. Her eyes speak volumes than actually her words and when she is forced to breast-feed the baby of a stranger, she becomes the epitome of motherhood. A picture of whatever little love is left in the world.Yogi is definitely not a time pass movie, it can be distressing. On the other hand, if you are looking for a heavy duty movie with some brilliant performances, try it. It wouldn’t hurt to see the darker side of human life once in a while. It tells you the tryst of happiness with life’s strange play of fate, when hope gets crushed.

They are ruthless assassins who will kill anyone for a fee, it seems. But, how did they turn out to be the criminals that they are? That is where Renigunta can make people do some soul searching. The process of creating a criminal out of a very normal youngster is masterminded by the society; first by preferring to keep quiet when he needs help and then by hurriedly branding him as a criminal the moment he tries to raise a voice for himself. The process of a criminal’s evolution is told through the life of newcomer Johnny who is the son of a law abiding dutiful police officer who gets involved in a pretty dangerous case. Johnny’s dad’s conscientiousness costs him his life as well as his wife’s. Only Johnny is left alone. Labeled as a criminal and facing torture in jail, he finds refuge in a band of four young men who have already turned the corner and accepted lives on the wrong side of the law. The quintet sets off on the journey that takes them to Renigunta.The director (Paneerselvam) has delivered what he set out to give. He has not diluted the theme or deviated from it for commercial considerations. The amount of violence seems to be justified by the script; one cannot point out a place where it seems forced. Having said that, the A certificate is completely justified and the movie is certainly not for very young people or those who are looking for regular entertainers. It is dark and grim most of the time. Scenes are gory and at times can leave even men accustomed to such movies with a grimace.Technically the movie is adequate. Camerawork suits the mood of the movie for most parts while music does not find too much of a place in spite of a few songs in the film. Dialogues by Singampuli are definitely praiseworthy.

India achieved their biggest victory against Sri Lanka and in the process clinched their 100th Test win on the fourth day of the second Test in Kanpur. "I first met him at the Mumbai airport when he returned from his first tour of England in 1990, after scoring his maiden Test ton. In fact, when I first saw him at the airport, I didn't even know who he was. It was purely by accident!" Anjali, who married Tendulkar in 1995, said. "I was there to pick up my mother and Sachin was arriving with the Indian team. That's where we saw each other for the first time... we had a courtship of five years and got married in 1995. We had got engaged a year before that in 1994 and that was in New Zealand," she said in a published interview."I think what he liked about me was that I knew nothing about cricket when I first met him. But then, me being me, I read everything about the game. I came to know all the fielding positions but he doesn't like me discussing cricket at home. But at times when he is low or upset, I do talk to him about cricket. Again, it's not the game but things related to it that we discuss," she said.

On whether Tendulkar's fame had come in the way of getting the simple pleasures like a movie, Anjali recalled how the batting great had to come in disguise to watch a movie during their courtship."... We had gone to see the movie Roja. I was studying medicine then and a couple of my friends planned. Sachin did try telling me that it would be difficult but I insisted that he come along. To make sure nobody recognised him, we even got him a beard. He wore specs as well and we went in late. We watched the first half of the film, but during the interval, Sachin dropped his specs and people immediately recognised him. It was a bit of disaster and we were forced to leave halfway," she told a newspaper in an interview. Anjali gave up her promising medical career to be Tendulkar's "biggest support" and after 14 years of marriage, she doesn't regret her decision one bit. "Though I loved every moment of my studying days and my days at the government hospital, it then came to a stage when I realised that I could not be married to Sachin and also have a full-time career. It wasn't possible because he depends on me for almost everything. It was my decision. I thought I should be at home with him and make everything perfect for him," she recalled.

"In his childhood, brother Ajit did everything for Sachin, sacrificing his own interests. I thought I should do the same. Besides, mine would not have been a 9 to 5 job. I'm a paediatrician, so if there's a patient calling me or someone admitted at odd hours, I have to make myself available", she said. "With Sachin not around and me with two kids at home, it wouldn't have been possible. I took a decision and I have never, ever regretted it," Anjali said. Tendulkar completes 20 years of international cricket on Sunday and Anjali said she still can't stop herself from getting tensed when he comes out to bat, so much so that she doesn't even get up to take a phone call when he is at the crease. "Actually, I have one particular spot in the house from where I can watch TV and also keep an eye on my Ganpati (Ganesha). I don't eat. I don't answer phones. I don't drink. I don't even move. I don't reply to any sms until he's out," she said.

Nineteen years of knowing the cricketer India worships, Anjali said she has learnt to deal with the pulls and pressures that come with being his better half. "For me, it's very easy because I've known Sachin for 19 years now. I understand him so well. So whether I am his girlfriend or his wife, it's the same thing, just an extension of that bond. I don't find it very difficult and I'm used to it. "Maybe, it's also because I've not known any other person in my life except Sachin. Of course, there are many challenges and difficulties to being his wife but the whole family, including my children, has learnt to deal with it," she said. But Anjali wishes that Tendulkar doesn't have to spend so much time away from his home and two young children.

Tendulkar scored 175 off 141 ball, enroute to his record 17,168 runs, but couldn't prevent India from losing the fifth ODI to Australia by three runs. 'I thought we started off really well then lost wickets. Suresh (Raina) and I had a good partnership but in the end, it was disappointing. The pressure to keep scoring runs was there and we took it very close. But I feel it was one of my best knocks,' said Tendulkar, who was adjudged as the Man of the Match. HOW TO PREPARE CHICKEN BRIYANI- RECIPE

Ingredients:

• 1 kg Chicken (pieces)
• 500 gm Basmati Rice (washed and soaked for 30 min)
• 4 tbsp Garam Masala (whole)
• 4 tsp Garam Masala Powder

• 50 gm Butter

• 4 tsp Garlic (chopped)

• 1 cup Onions (sliced)

• 4 tsp Ginger (chopped)

• 3 tsp Red Chili Powder

• 1 tbsp Coriander Powder

• 5 tbsp Oil

• 2 tsp Turmeric Powder

• 2 cup Curd (yogurt)

• 3/4 cup Tomato (chopped)

• 4 Bay Leaves

For the marinade :

• 1-1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
• 2 tsp Ginger (chopped)
• 2 tsp Garlic (chopped)
• 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
• 1 tsp Turmeric Powder

• 1 cup Yoghurt

• Salt

For garnishing:

• 1/2 gm Saffron (dissolved in 1/2 cup milk)
• 2 tbsp Rose Water

How to make Chicken Biryani:

• Put all the ingredients of the marinade in a bowl and mix well.
• Add chicken pieces to it and leave for an hour.
• Now boil water, add 1/2 of the whole garam masala, bay leaf, and rice in it.
• Cook the rice until 3/4 th is done, drain and keep it aside.

• Heat oil in a thick bottomed pan and add remaining whole garam masala.

• Allow it to crackle, add sliced onions and cook it till light golden brown.
• Add 1 tsp of the remaining garam masala and all the remaining ingredients.
• Cook for 5 minutes, combine marinated chicken with it.
• Cook until chicken is tender.
• Place alternate layers of chicken and rice.
• Now sprinkle saffron, remaining garam masala powder and butter in between the layers and on the top.
• Carefully end it with the rice layer topped with saffron & rose water.
• Cover and seal it with an aluminum foil.
• Cook it further on low flame for 10-12 minutes.
• Chicken Biryani is ready to serve.

Jaganmohini is the remake of veteran Vittalacharya’s horror-comedy of the same name. Remaking cult classics isn’t really a bad idea, but what made the original Jaganmohini tick was its imaginative plot premise and the visual effects, done with very modest technical advancements available during the seventies. The latest version that has Namitha in the quintessential-ghost-with-an-unrequited-love role, however, lacks the required finesse to hold your attention and with a choppy screenplay the movie ends up more comic than horror. That’s not to mention, we also have Vadivelu in the cast with less than desired results. The story, as we all know, feels like it’s taken straight out of the Amar Chitra Katha series. Namitha gets murdered for having fallen in love with a prince. Despite her death, she seeks the love of her life, the prince, Raja. However, the prince also has a suitable bride, Nila, within the family. To win Raja over, Namitha also must fight an evil sorcerer, Kota Srinivasa Rao, who sets out to capture the prince for his human-sacrifice that will bestow colossal powers upon him. That is Jaganmohini’s plot in a nutshell. There’s also the wicked prince from the neighboring state Riyaz Khan, his father Bala Singh and Vadivelu, who plays Namitha’s brother.

If not anything, the plot has immense scope to amuse kids, but falls short with only a few visual effect scenes promising to hold attention – like the one in which Namitha attacks the village after taking a water form. Namitha’s fans might enjoy her in a full-fledged role where she gets to rule the screen for the major part of the movie. With her enormous frame, she does a neat job of a ghost – no pun intended, of course. The climax would have suited the seventies, but since we have evolved so much over the past 30 something years, it looks and feels so preposterous. It’s even doubtful that your kid might like that kind of lame climax. The N. K. Vishwanathan directed Jaganmohini is neither spooky nor amusing. Even if you are a die-hard Namitha fan, don’t be surprised if you become incensed towards the end of the movie, for she’s all over it.

Chillie powder – 2 tsp
Dhania powder – 3 tsp
Sombu – ½ tsp
Curry leaves – a hand full
Whole Red chillies – 6-10 nos
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Cinnamon (pattai) – 2 piece
Clove (karambu) – 2 nos
Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil - 3-5 table spoons ( required quantity)

Methods

Wash the mutton. After that add chillie powder, turmeric powder, dhania powder, salt to the mutton and mix well.
Heat oil in a pan add sombu, pattai, karambu, red chillies, curry leaves, then add the Marinated mutton and fry well i.e till it is roasted dry. Note: dont let it burnt.

In simple words, ‘Unnai Pol Oruvan’ can be regarded as ‘Better than the best’. It’s because, the remake version seems to be much stupendous than the original ‘A Wednesday’. Of course, the biggest highlighting feature is that Kamal Haasan hasn’t let any changes to the script including the film’s duration (that exactly goes with 100mins). Fine! Let’s not get ourselves dragged with the analysis and you can just take a glimpse over the story… ‘Unnai Pol Oruvan’ is a story that revolves around a calamitous day where the entire city is shook with a single call from that starts off the thriller drama. A stranger over the top of under-construction building’s terrace makes a call to city commissioner (Mohan Lal) stating that he has planted bombs at various parts of the city. Nothing seems to be a serious issue for commissioner as he presumes it to be a crank call. But things start rolling ahead topsy-turvily when the stranger reasserts about his powerfulness by ensuring that he has placed 3kgs of RDX bomb at a police station.

Now, it’s up to city commissioner for settling down the backbreaking task. Well, the stranger wants to release 4 most wanted terrorists held as prisoners by the government or else he would blast the entire city. Since, it’s too difficult to go around the city and detonate the bombs, the police department has to go flexible over the stranger’s offer. But when the terrorists are released, there’s something more shocking for the cops and as well the audiences. Firstly, when it comes to analyzing the performance, everyone in the screens have excelled with top-notching performance. Hats off to Kamal Haasan! Unlike his previous films, where he delineates himself in prominent role overshadowing others, he has likely delivered an unparalleled endeavor. Mohan Lal is ‘wordlessly stupendous’ and he keeps you engrossing all throughout the show. As a matter of fact, he has got more importance than Kamal Haasan, who sweeps us off on our senses in climax portion. Be it Anuja Iyer as a journalist or a frustrated cop Ganesh Venkatram: they’ve just lived under the skin of characterizations.

I would like to appreciate Mr. Kamal Haasan having made a mind-boggling statement in climax portions. As a media professional, I had just felt disappointed when most of the Tamil TV Channels failed to showcase the depth of 26/10 attack in Mumbai. Precisely, when he mentioned the same part, I could just reflect myself over the screens. And that’s the victory of this film as everyone, each and every audiences seated before the screens would doubtlessly reflect themselves as well whose hearts are brimmed with millions of unanswered questions in the society. Indeed, Kamal Haasan brings his real life experience of his name missing in ‘voting list’ as he claims him as an invisible man. Shruthi Haasan fails to deliver better background score while the cinematography is best. Dialogues are so touching as they keep winning applauses on each and every line. When it comes to Chakri, there’s nothing much to appreciate him as he has just copycatted the exact version. Excuse us Chakri! Classmates, the Malayalam blockbuster comes to Tamil as Ninaithale Inikkum directed by debutant G N R Kumaravelan, son of the legendary director G N Rangarajan. Adhering to the original format mostly, Kumaravelan has done a decent job in this Gemini Film Circuit production venture. Prithviraj (who featured in the original version as well), Sakthi Vasu, Priya Mani and Anuja Iyer (Sivi fame) are one set of friends in a college while Karthik Kumar and Lollu Sabha Jeeva are in the rival gang. Prithviraj meets Priya Mani on the first day of college and it is love at first sight for him but he never divulges his love to her. Karthik, on the other hand is a rich brat, interested in a girl but when his feelings are not reciprocated, he forces the girl to love him. Prithvi intervenes in favor of the girl that sets the ball rolling for bitter acrimony between the men. Meanwhile Prithvi’s popularity graph soars in the college, thanks to his pro-student activities which irk Karthik who is on the look out for a suitable opportunity to bring Prithvi down. Further interesting events mark the rest of the film wherein there are some surprise twists in the love angle revealed only in the denouement.

Prithvi scores in his performance and proves he is after all an experienced artist. Ninaithale Inikkum will be a significant milestone in his film career. Among the other members, Karthik dazzles. He has exploited the given minimal situations to his credit and heaps applause. Testimony of his Evam experience indeed! Priya Mani takes some time to thaw and becomes normal in the second half. Sakthi understands his role and delivers. K Bhagyaraj as Sakthi’s dad is apt. Screen play has been dealt with a touch of maturity. Balasubramanian gets plaudits for his beautiful work with the camera. Vijay Antony’s music is appreciable especially in the ‘Azhagai Poothade’ number. In many places he has let silence speak which is praiseworthy. In some way or the other audience is bound to relate to the film especially the college days. The director who chose to convey sorrow intensely could have extended similar treatment to happiness also which would have hastened the first half.

80 PEOPLE DIE AFTER RAJASEKHARA REDDY'S DEATH

More than 80 people across Andhra Pradesh have died of shock or committed suicide after the death of their chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, prompting his MP son Y S Jagannathan Reddy to appeal to his late father's admirers to be patient and brave. "I appeal to all of you to be patient and be brave in this hour of tragedy. He (YSR) wanted to see a smile on the faces of all and if you resort to such things (suicide) this will hurt him," said Jaganmohan, trying to hard to control his tears. "I request you not to commit suicide," said Jaganmohan, who was elected to Lok Sabha from Kadapa in recent elections and is being seen by many as the next chief minister.

The appeal before the camera was telecast on all Telugu television channels. Telugu television channels estimated that 77 people died of shock on hearing the news of their leader's death in a horrific air crash Thursday or committed suicide, unable to bear the loss. Most of those who died of shock were watching news of YSR's death on television. This is the first time in the state's history that such a large number of people have died over the death of any political leader.
YSR, as the late leader was popularly known, has surpassed in death the popularity of actor and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) founder N.T. Rama Rao who died in 1996.

A large number of those who died of shock included young supporters of YSR and the beneficiaries of the various welfare schemes launched by him in the last five years. They suffered a cardiac arrest following the news of the chief minister's death in the helicopter crash. The deaths were reported from 19 out of 23 districts in the state. In the coastal district of West Godavari, six people died of shock and four committed suicide. "YSR dedicated his life to people, I am dedicating my life to him," a youth wrote in his suicide note before consuming pesticide. A physically handicapped couple, who were getting monthly pension under a welfare scheme, attempted suicide by jumping into the Godavari river but were saved by fishermen. In Hyderabad, 42-year-old Yadgiri died of shock while watching news of YSR's death on television. M Srinivas, 30, suffered cardiac arrest.

The helicopter carrying YSR Reddy, two of his staff and two pilots went missing in pouring rain Wednesday morning over the Naxal and tiger-infested Nalamalla forests. Five bodies were been found at the site where Andhra Pradesh chief minister YSR Reddy chopper’s wreckage has been traced.

The government on Thursday confirmed that Nearly 24 hours after YSR's chopper went missing, it was located atop Serai Salem hill, at a distance 40 nautical miles (70 kms) east of Kurnool. The CM left Hyderabad on a six-seater Bell chopper at 8.35am for Chittoor accompanied by his secretary and chief security officer. After 9.27am, radio contact was lost with the helicopter. Soon after the chopper lost contact, multiple agencies of the state launched a massive hunt for possible wreckage in the desolate terrain. By evening, it expanded into the country's biggest-ever search operation with satellites in the sky joining remote sensing aircraft, fighter jets, unmanned aerial vehicles, troops on the ground and even barefoot deer-hunting tribals with bows and arrows.

AP CM Y S Rajasekhara reddy's chopper found today, 24 hours after it went missing, the helicopter carrying Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was today located on Rudrakonda hill, 40 nautical miles east of here, but there was no word on his condition. "As of now we have located the helicopter. It is on top of a hill at a distance 40 nautical miles (70 kms) east of Kurnool. Our helicopters are there. We are trying to locate whether there are any survivors," Air Commodore Sagar Bharti of the Bangalore air command told reporters here. "We are not sure if it has crashed or not.

We are sure we have located the helicopter," he said. The signal code of the helicopter is 15471479. Two helicopters were hovering over the area where the helicopter has been located and was looking for a spot to land. Union Home Secretary G K Pillai told PTI in Delhi that it seems the helicopter has crash landed but there is no confirmation. He said the Air Force was attempting to drop para commandos to the spot through ropes to look for survivors. The 11-year-old Bell 430 helicopter carrying besides Reddy, his special secretary Subramaniam, Chief Secretary A S C Wesley, pilot Group Captain S K Bhatia and co-pilot M S Reddy lost radio contact one hour after it took off the from the old Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad at 0835 hrs yesterday.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy's fate still appeared uncertain as search operations to locate the missing chopper carrying Reddy resumed in Nallamalai forest region at 6:30 am on Thursday morning, officials said. At the day break, at least five IAF helicopters resumed search operations while the Army and police intensified the biggest-ever search operation.Aerial search by helicopters to locate the missing Bell-430 chopper were stopped last evening because of bad light and weather conditions in the area. The SP said Greyhounds -- Andhra's elite anti-naxalite commando force -- Army, state police forces and CRPF personnel were engaged in search operations.

"Several parties of the Greyhounds, Army, State police and CRPF have been pressed into service," Srikant said adding hundreds of local civilians and tribals have also joined the search operations. According to the latest development a 5-km radius area in the Nallamalai forests in the state from where the missing helicopter carrying Reddy made the last contact to Air Traffic Control has been identified, Union Minister Prithviraj Chavan said here.

"By triangulation, we have located the area which is about 5-km raidus circle and it has been identified based on the last contact with the Air Traffic Control," Chavan, the Union Minister of State in the PMO, told reporters. "They (people on board the chopper) were carrying about five cell phones and so whenever a cell phone passes through a tower it will register and with best help from BSNL, we will identify the area," Chavan, who along with Union Law Minister Veerappa Moily rushed here last night, said. "We are sparing no efforts whatsoever. We have deployed everything what we have got, Airforce, state police, air-surveillance, satellite imagery and remote-sensing aircraft have been taking photos. Everything has been put into service," Chavan said. "It is that area where the last contact with Air Traffic Control was made and also contact with a BSNL mobile tower was made," he said. Chavan said the photos were not visible clearly and he expects to get clear information in the morning.

Chief secretary ramakant reddy said that the operations have been marred by inclement weather and rainfall which was expected to continue for the next 48 hours. He also revealed that the US Defence Department had been approached through the Central government for its satellite support. US Ambassador Timothy J Roemer offered all assistance but the NSA politely refused the help, NSA said. The secretary had said Indian satellites had till now not been able to peer through the clouds. “They can’t provide real-time imagery,” he had added.

Andhra pradesh chief minister Y S Rajasekhara reddy is missing from the morning along with his chopper(helicopter). A helicopter carrying Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy was on Wednesday missing an hour after it took off from old Begumpet airport at 8.35am, raising fears about his safety. Chief minister’s principal secretary S. Subramanyam and chief security officer A. S. C. Wesley and two pilots were also on board the twin-engined government helicopter that lost contact at 9.35am when it was headed for Chitoor district, over 600kms from here.

At least four helicopters, including three belonging to the Air Force, have been pressed into search operations but no contact has been established. There is no information of the Bell 430 helicopter, having landed anywhere, finance minister K. Rosaiah told a press conference here. While he expressed hope that the chief minister could be safe, state chief secretary P. Ramakanth Reddy said it could be possible that the helicopter could have landed in an unfamiliar area from where getting out could be difficult. “So far we have not been able to make any contact. It is possible because of strong winds and inclement weather, it may have landed in an unfamiliar area from where getting out can be difficult. Time we have before sunset is limited and it is raining heavily,” he said.

Due to bad mobile connectivity and the area being heavily forested, officials have so far failed to make any contact with the Chief Minister sending security agencies into a tizzy.Even though the area is not Naxal-affected but there is panic as the officials have not been unable to contact Reddy. Bad weather is also hampering the rescue mission. The Defence Ministry has also deployed an unmanned aerial vehicle for tracking the Chief Minister. Andhra Pradesh has also asked the Centre for all-weather helicopters for search operations during the night. Meanwhile, in a startling revelation a Director General of Civil Aviation report has claimed that Reddy's Bell 430 helicopter was not air worthy.

Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister K Rosaiah said that there has been no information of the Bell 430 helicopter having landed anywhere while addressing a press conference in Hyderabad. While he expressed hope that the Chief Minister could be safe, state Chief Secretary P Ramakanth Reddy said it could be possible that the helicopter could have landed in an unfamiliar area from where getting out could be difficult. The IAF has, meanwhile, pressed into service four helicopters to search for the missing chopper.

Two chetaks, one MI8 chopper and a Dhruv advanced light helicopter have taken off from Bengaluru to trace the chief minister’s chopper, said a spokesman of the Indian Air Force. "There has been no contact established with the helicopter," sources in the ministry said.They said the situation was being monitored by Home Minister P Chidambaram and top officials who are in touch with Andhra Pradesh government officials. There is a "kandasamy temple"in the village where vikram was born. The poor people in the village have the habit of writing their wishes in a small paper and placing it in the temple tree. With the help of the priest in the temple vikram finds the wishes of many people. As he is a CBI person he easily tracks the black money from the richmen.

A big network operates and the super hero in the name of the kandasamy, in special costume attacks the richmen and gets the black money from them. After geting money from them he sends money to the deserved people who specified their wishes in the temple. In this process shreyas father, who is a richmen is attacked and he acts like getting physically affected. Due to this, shreya wants to take revenge on vikram. Shreya acts like loving vikram and viceversa. The comedy of vadivelu is a plus point for the film. shreya's dance is excellent and the songs have come good. The revenge that shreya takes on vikram in the name of love is quite interesting. Later half of the movie moves in mexico. At last both vikram and shreya love each other.

The hurricane was moving in a north-westerly direction, and on its current track is projected to turn north and largely miss the US coastline. An Air Force reserve hurricane hunter plane that flew into the Atlantic storm indicated "that Bill has strengthened and maximum sustained winds have increased to near 125 MPH," the center said in an interim advisory. That made Bill a Category 3 Hurricane on the Simpson hurricane scale. The Miami-based Hurricane Center said earlier that at 2100 GMT Tuesday, the hurricane was located about 635 miles (1,025 kilometers) east of the Leeward Islands and heading west-northwestward toward the US mainland at nearly 16 mph (26 kph).

The Atlantic hurricane season began on June 1 and ends on November 30.The hurricane's projected track is in the Atlantic, "well to the northeast" of the Caribbean's Leeward Islands. The Hurricane Center's extended forecast puts the far northeastern US coastline on the eastern edge of Bill's broad "cone of uncertainty" by Sunday. Tropical Storm Claudette, which blew up in the Gulf of Mexico on Sunday and lashed Florida resorts with strong winds and heavy rain, weakened Monday to a tropical depression as it moved across the southern United States.

In India, the race is between three Indian biotech companies. The Pune-based Serum Institute of India seems best placed. It was already working on a vaccine for seasonal flu. Serum Institute's products are exported to over 140 countries, and the company claims that one out of every two children immunised in the world has received a Serum Institute vaccine.

The other two companies are Panacea Biotech and Bharat Biotech. Delhi-based Panacea is a WHO pre-qualified supplier of a range of vaccines and has collaborations with international institutes. Its working on vaccines for anthrax, dengue, and Japanese encephalitis. Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech launched India's first indigenous pentavalent (five-in-one) 'Comvac-5' vaccine in March this year. What's unique about the vaccine is that it is the only Hepatitis B vaccine in the world to be manufactured without the use of cesium chloride, a heavy metal needed to precipitate proteins.

As a heavy metal, cesium chloride is a known cancer causing agent and the fact that Bharat Biotech found another safer way to purify its hepatitis-B antigen makes Comvac-5 even more special. There's a fourth company, Ahmedabad-based Cadila Pharma, which is collaborating with US-based Novavax, using Novavax's 'virus-like particles' technology. This technology cuts short manufacturing time. The buzz is that one company has already managed to grow the cell line, and is now engaged in scaling up production, a tricky operation, given the myriad variables in biologics manufacture. Today, we have to depend on imported vaccines to vaccinate health workers from swine flu. We pay handsomely to procure this vaccine. Countries that produce the vaccine use it domestically first.
