South Africa fast bowler Dale Steyn is caught in a doping controversy. Steyn had had an 'adverse finding' against him during IPL 2 after he was found to have levels of morphine slightly higher than normal.Steyn, contracted with the Bangalore Royal Challengers, was on the bench for a big chunk of the IPL's second season thanks to a thumb injury and played only three matches.IPL commissioner Lalit Modi, meanwhile, said they were yet to receive any communication with regards to a failed test during the IPL. "No player tested positive during the IPL as per our dope-testing agency's findings. Our anti-doping agency has not given us any inputs that they had a failed dope test on their hands," said Modi. He added that Steyn's case was still at the procedural stage and that the IPL had not yet come into the picture.
